Journey - Riding on Our Dreams

The MAA MediCare Kidney Charity Fund (MediCare) is a non-governmental organization established in 1994 as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of MAA Assurance. MediCare functions as an independent, non-profit public trust fund.

Their mission is to ease the financial burden of kidney patients and their families by providing affordable access to quality dialysis, healthcare and essential drugs at a subsidized cost.

Medicare depend solely on the generosity and support of the public, corporate and private sectors to raise the much needed funds for our work to make dialysis accessible to needy patients from low and middle-income families in the country.

Through Journey, they are targeting to raise RM168,000.00 to help the needy. Journey - Riding on Our Dreams started with Jacky Hong Fan Hoe, 35 who wanted to make a diffence in people's lives, especially the lives of the needy by touring on his bicycle from Kuala Lumpur to London, across 12 countries, 16800km. Jackey targets to arrive in time to support Malaysia at the London Olympics in mid July 2012.
